Cassiopea

A secluded port city on the River Azula, sitting on a small peninsular north of the First Empire, Cassiopea is one of the very few 'safe' areas between Port Pardue and DelagoreĀ

Population: ~4,000

The White Lady

Cassiopea is ruled by a sorceress of immense power and ageless beauty, known widely as the White Lady. She has governed the city since the fall of the Arch Lich, settling along the riverbanks after the great battle fought just to the south of the city.

It is widely believed that her decision to rule from this location was a deliberate one, allowing her to watch over the former Lich lands for any signs of resurgence or lingering corruption.

Diplomatic Relations

Nestor

Cassiopea maintains strained relations with Nestor, stemming from a previous period of subjugation during an earlier attempt by Nestor to expand into an empire, as well as a number of mutual transgressions committed by both sides over the years.

While neither city considers the relationship friendly or productive, both are pragmatic enough to set aside pride and cooperate when circumstances demand it.

Delagore

Relations between Delagore and Cassiopea are notably more cooperative. While rivalry exists, the practical need for mutual aid has consistently outweighed attempts at political maneuvering or advantage-seeking.

This relationship has been strengthened by a near-constant series of shared crises, forcing collaboration for mutual survival. Currently, the leaders of both cities make extensive use of discreet back‑channel communications facilitated through their shared membership in the Silver Order. These negotiations and cooperative efforts occur independently of noble houses or formal councils, granting both sides significant autonomy in their dealings.
