Alecton

Situated along Sorrow’s Drain, the city rests on the eastern bank of the river beneath the looming shadow of its keep.

To the north lies the township of Berida, home of the Tardin Trading Company and, since 1154 NR, a member of the Nestorian Holdings. The Tardin family wields considerable influence within the city, operating several depots, employing a significant portion of the population, and holding a seat on the local ruling council.

To the east stretch the woods of Velat and the Wood Elf nation contained within. A staunch ally of Alecton, Velat has long been one of the primary reasons Relast has been unable to fully absorb Alecton into its domain over the years.

Southward along Sorrow’s Drain lie several smaller settlements that fall under the authority of Alecton and Nestor alike. Beyond these stands the Dracospear Tower, and farther still, the heartland of the Duchy of Relast itself.

Leadership

Alecton was once governed by a local council composed of influential tradespeople and landowners responsible for overseeing the town’s long‑term growth and stability. Members of this council included:

  • Rogard Sigald, owner of the Dancing Lion Inn
  • Samuel Tangin, local blacksmith
  • Garrosh Fangbane, Lord of the Keep
  • Actin Tardin, owner of the Tardin Trading Company

In 1162 NR, Emperor Karandar formally accepted Alecton as a vassal of the Empire after he and his legions crushed the most recent assault by Slerikek’s tribesmen. Following this victory, Baron Actin Tardin was installed as the region’s ruler.
